Hello, I'm Jon. I work as a photojournalist, wedding and event photographer.

I studied photography at Exeter, spending hours in the darkroom developing film and understanding those analog processes. For commercial projects, I now shoot digital but I still like to use film when it’s possible.

In terms of stylistic approach, I use a lot of natural light but I’m not a natural light photographer. I’ll work with flash when it’s necessary and also for artistic expression. Be it on or off-camera flash. I particularly use off-camera for my wedding work.

I have an ongoing dedication and passion for my street photography work. You can follow me on my Street Photography London Instagram account.

As a very visual person, photography has been a long-standing interest. I have also worked for years as a graphic designer and the two things complement each other. An interest in grids and geometric design informs my photographic approach, particularly in the street style.

I’ve had my photography published in the Guardian Newspaper. I’ve had my street photography featured in the Lens Culture annual street photography competition.

Please get in touch to discuss working together.

“It was brilliant having Jon to photograph our wedding day. He was very discreet and we hardly noticed that we were having our photos taken. Jon captured the mood, detail and special moments of our day perfectly. We absolutely love his artistic compositions. Thank you Jon!

A few things about me…

I’m a tennis obsessive – both playing and watching. Wimbledon is my favourite time of the year.

Andre Agassi wore a wig

I’m a bass guitarist. I went to The Institute music school in Kilburn, wrote for bass guitar magazine and demo’d for MusicMan guitars.

Slappa da bass man

I can juggle fire sticks and diabolos. I once burnt my eyebrow off in a juggling-related incident.

Circus skillz (don’t hold this against me)

I can speak pretty decent Swedish. I lived in Stockholm for 3 years. Det var jättebra!

Midsommar is genuinely disturbing
